At 15 nautical miles to the south we will find the islands of Alimia and Halki.

Alimnia is uninhabited till today. It was used as a military base by the German and Italian forces during the Second World War. You can still visit the remains of the barracks, where there are the drawings of warships, probably made by soldiers themselves. Two small churches attract the attention of tourists.
The water here takes the unforgettable colors and its location makes it an excellent shelter from the Meltemi, the characteristic wind blowing in this area in the summer.

Halki is a small gem, its colors and tranquility makes her a tourist destination for non-mainstream, a place that you hardly will forget.
